LE FOUR SOLAIRE D'ODEILLO (20

In Font-Romeu, Odeille - The "Héliodyssée" exhibition on display at the foot of the biggest solar furnace in France must seen. A highly informative and fun way of understanding the extent of all the scientific experiments carried out by the CNRS (National Scientific research centre). The exhibition includes models and displays which help to understand solar power, the environment, how it can be used at home, in space and in the future. Good for children from 6 years old and of great scientific interest to adults!

CAL MATEU MUSEUM (30 mins)
Stop at Sainte Léocadie on the RN116 - The museum is housed in a typical Cerdane farm. Local history is revisited inside and outside the farm house where scenes of a local farmer's daily life are reconstructed. Get a glimpse of local border history and check out visiting exhibitions.

THE VILLAGE OF DORRES (30 mins)
Take the D618 via Font-Romeu and Angoustrine - this charming village is famou for it's granite cutting that is reflected in the houses and the vast authentic Cerdane farms. Take a scenic stroll along the hedgerows.

Take the RN116 then the D30 to Osséja. At the end of the road, you will happen upon a village full of charm and authenticity. Take a stroll through the streets and surrounding pathways and visit the gothic altar, the beautiful fountain and the bee museum!
