The resort lies high up on the Capcir Plateau in the eastern Pyrenees, next to Spain, Andorra, and the Mediterranean.

The resort is exceptionally well located between Montpellier, Perpignan, Toulouse, and Barcelona, and benefits from the resulting cultural mix.

Even if your car is fitted with winter tyres, you may not be allowed to drive to a ski resort or cross a mountain pass if you don't have snow chains. So remember to bring them with you, if you don't want to spend your winter holidays patiently waiting for the snow to melt.

It is a good idea to buy your snow chains before heading off for the mountains or, if you live in a mountainous region, before the onset of winter. That way you have enough time to find the chains that perfectly fit your tyres and you can also try fitting them for the first time in the warmth of your garage. Even though fitting snow chains is far simpler than it used to be, it often only truly seems simple once you have fully understood how to do it!

CAR-SHARING

Les Angles has set up a car-sharing scheme to reduce the number of vehicles coming in and out of the resort. Post details about your journey and maximise the impact of our car-sharing solutions.
