THE SPANISH ENCLAVE OF LLIIVA
Ever since Roman days Llivia has officially been a town, and in 1659 it avoided being made part of France under the Treaty of the Pyrenees.
Lliva is a bustling village with charming little alleyways and the ruins of a castle, and its museum is housed in the oldest pharmacy in Europe (dating from the 16th century).
